Frequently
Asked Questions:
Where are your shirts
made?
OOOH now that is a leading
question! They are made in ENGLAND I bet you didn't expect that!! Unlike
most made to measure garment makers we don't bluster and try to change
the subject. They are made in Lancashire home of Hot Pot and damn fine
shirts! NOT Vietnam, Slovakia, Turkey, Hong Kong, China or anywhere
else. They have never seen the inside of a sweatshop. Mind you one girl
at our factory keeps asking for airconditioning - but I think its her
age.
What is your lead
time?
It usually takes around 4
weeks to make a shirt. We can Express an order for a small extra charge.
Ring us first to see if it is possible.
Can I use my own
cloth?
Yes. That is not a problem.
Most shirts take 2 metres of cloth but certain fabrics are narrower
than the standard 60cms. Ring us with details and we will let you know
how much is needed. Silk often comes 35cms wide and we would need an
extra metre.
I have a shirt that
fits me well, can you copy it for size or style?
No probs there, just send
it to us. Please note we will return it when your new shirt is dispatched.
How do I wash my
shirt?
We recommend that all shirts
are washed in a cool wash and ironed whilst still damp.
What if my shirt
needs an alteration?
Lets hope that it won’t
but, if that is the case, ring us and we will do our best to adjust
it.
Are your shirts made
in cotton?
Yes we only use the best
English cottons. We do sometimes get asked for poly/cotton, if we can
supply it we will but colours are usually limited .
Do you make detachable
collars?
Yes we do.
Do you keep my measurements
so that I can order more easily next time?
Too right we do, so provided
you keep away from the pies all you have to do is email us with your
order asking us to use you previous pattern.
